About the Raspberry Pi

Scott Townsend has been developing the Rapture Kit resource on USB drives and "Post Rapture Emergency Websites" for six years. Seeing that more censorship and control are coming, he has been working to make Gospel resources available even when all Christian content websites are taken down. But let me credit another Brother and friend that inspired this platform idea. I will be forever grateful for his help and support.

The epiphany to begin supporting such a small form factor was born out of necessity and cost savings. Often, hosting providers can be very expensive and a domain name can be blocked quickly. The Raspberry Pi is a small, inexpensive, portable, and powerful computer that can be used to create a Post Rapture Emergency Website that you can hold in your hand! It is designed to be powered by a modest battery pack, stuffed into a backpack, and when turned on it can project a hotspot 'rapture_kit' that when people connect to it, they can see the Rapture Kit website without an internet connection.

A part of the suite of "Advanced Gospel Initiatives" that Scott is working on, this technology gives people the ability to evangelize in any public place. Before the Rapture, it provokes people to explore it's many features. Again, this is based on the full Post Rapture Emergency Website static website configuration. After the Rapture, when people are clustered in groups in the wilderness, they need answers. This Pi can be taken into remote areas and help people read the Bible, watch dozens of sermons from top experts, listen to podcasts, and so much more!

Post Rapture Emergency Website

Introduction

The Raspberry Pi mini-computer is an amazing and well established platform. As we see more censorship coming and suspect that Christian websites will be taken down, it is critical that we can adjust the technology we are using to preserve the Gospel and all the resources that are available in the Rapture Kit.

The scenario for using this solution is to project the static website with all the resources the Rapture Kit offers to anyone within WiFi range. It contains Bibles, Books, Sermons, Video/Audio files, is fully browseable, and miscellaneous articles.

It also contains a special page for Emergency Message that highlights four videos with people talking to the listener about what just happened, how we knew it was going to happen, and what to do now. and what to do now. The scripts for the Emergency Message has been certified in 13 languages in order to present the message to approximately 6 Billion people in their first language. Counting secondary languages speakers, we might reach an additional 1 Billion people.
